- WHAT WINDOWS VERSION ARE SUPPORTED?
We support Windows 7 and up. However, keep in mind that Windows Home versions have less functionality and may lack certain features.
- WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE QBKEY LED COLOURS?

- CAN I USE THE BACKUP KEY AS A REGULAR QBKEY?
Yes, there is no difference in the keys. However, there is no possibility of recovering your data if you do not have a backup key. We strongly recommend using one key as active key and one key as a backup key, that is stored in a safe place.
- IS IT POSSIBLE TOP INSTALL THE QBKEY SOFTWARE ON MULTIPLE COMPUTERS?
Yes that it is possible. Keep in mind that vaults are not synced automatically to the other computers.
- WHAT TYPE OF HARD DISK IS PREFERED?
The QBKEY software works with any type of harddisk. However, the way information is stored on SSD drives is less secure than HDD drives. Because of this reason we recommend putting your vault on a HDD.
- WHAT IF ONE OF MY QBKEY DEVICE GOT LOST?
First, don’t worry about that the person got your QBKEY device will do something on your data vaults. Your data vaults’ decryption is tied to your 3D fingerprints. And they may not have the physical access to your vault either. So, your data is still safe. But you should take actions immediately to use the backup QBKEY device to export the data from all your vaults. Buy a new QBKEY pair and use the new QBKEY pair to encrypt your data. You are always supposed to have a backup device. Because QBKEY is produced by using Quantum True Random Number Generator, which makes each QBKEY pair is unique and cannot be duplicated.
We recommend you buy a new QBKEY pair first, and then share all the data encrypted by your old QBKEY with your new QBKEY pair. So, there is no any opportunities for any data leaking.
- WHAT IF BOTH OF MY QBKEY DEVICES GOT LOST?
First, don’t worry about that the person got your QBKEY device will do something on your data vaults. Your data vaults’ decryption is tied to your 3D fingerprints. And they may not have the physical access to your vault either. So, your data is still safe.
But there is nothing we can do on recovering your vaults. QBKEY is produced by using Quantum True Random Number Generator, which makes each QBKEY pair is unique and cannot be duplicated. Even us, can not reproduce a QBKEY for you to recovery your data. That is why QBKEY comes as a pair, one of them need to be put to a safe place.
